How long does a payment delivery take on doxo?
doxo always works to select the fastest payment delivery route available. Any payment done via doxo requires the completion of 2 steps – payment withdrawal from user’s account and payment delivery to the biller.
Payment withdrawal from user depends on the payment method selected by the user. Card payments authorize almost immediately. ACH payments take up to 3 business days to be confirmed (due to bank rules regarding overdrafts and other processing errors) before they remit.
Over 70% of doxo bill payments are delivered electronically to billers. For billers directly participating in the doxo electronic payment delivery network, remittance is typically done in one business day. When remitting to billers on other electronic payment networks delivery takes 2-3 business days. For billers that are not participating in any electronic payment network delivery is made via check through the USPS. These bill delivery processes are the same as those used by bank bill pay systems for over 25 years.
If your biller is not a “fast delivery” biller, please let them know they can speed payments by directly enrolling on doxo’s payment network. Any biller can join doxo for free, electronic payment delivery. Learn more here.
Please note that your Payment Delivery date is always shown prior to submitting your payment. Always confirm this Delivery Date is prior to the Due Date for your bill payment. If it is not, you may want to contact the biller directly to make a payment.
Also after every payment is submitted, you will see your Payment Status page and you’ll also receive an email receipt (with a link to the Payment Status page). You can always track your payment delivery via this Payment Status page.
