  • Is it safe to pay with doxo?

Yes, when you pay with doxo, your sensitive payment account information is never shared with billers. Your personal information is secure, and you stay informed at every step of the payment process with Payment Delivery tracking. doxo has the highest grade security for payment processing and is PCI compliant in all areas.

Over 70% of doxo bill payments are sent electronically to billers, ensuring a swift and efficient payment process. Billers, who are part of doxo’s electronic payment delivery network, typically receive their remittance within one business day. For billers on other electronic payment networks, delivery usually takes 2-3 business days.

In the rare case of billers not participating in any electronic payment network, the payment is sent via check through the United States Postal Service. Rest assured, doxo’s payment delivery process is on par with that of traditional banks and payment institutions over the last 25 years.

Before you submit your payment, always check the displayed Payment Delivery date. It’s crucial to ensure that this date is before the due date for your bill payment. If it’s not, we strongly advise you to contact the biller directly to make a payment and avoid any potential late fees.

After submitting each payment, you will be directed to the Payment Status page. You will receive an email receipt containing a link to the page. You can always track the delivery status of your payment by visiting this page.

  • Who owns doxo?

doxo is a privately owned, venture-funded company with investors that include Jackson Square Ventures, MDV, and Bezos Expeditions.

  • How long does a payment delivery take on doxo?

doxo always works to select the fastest payment delivery route available. Any payment done via doxo requires the completion of 2 steps – payment withdrawal from the user’s account and payment delivery to the biller.

The duration of payment withdrawal depends on the payment method you choose. Card payments, such as credit and debit cards, are authorized almost immediately. On the other hand, ACH payments made through bank accounts take up to 3 business days for verification due to bank rules regarding overdrafts and other processing errors before they can be remitted.

When you use doxo to pay your bills, more than 70% of payments are sent electronically to your biller. If your biller is part of doxo’s electronic payment delivery network, your payment should arrive within one business day.

For billers on another electronic payment network, it may take 2-3 business days for the payment to be delivered. In cases where your biller is not part of any electronic payment network, your payment will be sent as a check through USPS. These processes are similar to those used by bank bill pay systems for over 25 years.

If your biller is not enrolled in our “Fast Delivery” program, let them know they can speed up payments by enrolling directly on doxo’s payment network. Any biller can join doxo for free and benefit from electronic payment delivery. Learn more here.

Please be advised that the Payment Delivery date is always displayed before submitting your payment. It is crucial to verify this Delivery Date and ensure that it is prior to the Due Date for your bill payment. In case the Delivery Date is after the Due Date, please contact the biller directly to make the payment.

Once you have submitted a payment, you will be able to view your Payment Status page.

Additionally, you will receive an email receipt which will contain a link to the Payment Status page. This page will allow you to track the delivery of your payment at any time.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s current investigation is unjust and inaccurate, presenting a narrative that is a monumental step backward from our goal of reducing bill pay complexity and costs.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s complaint indicates a fundamental misunderstanding of the existing bill-pay market and the structural inefficiencies that almost always work against consumers.
